Today’s photo is another one of those “Did you know things?” about Ottawa that I discovered by accident on my walk to Mill Street yesterday. Did you we had this because I had no idea we had a white water slalom and training course right in our backyard. The site called the Pumphouse facility provides a class 2 whitewater training environment and a moving water area for beginners. Who knew? For more info, click here.  Check out this video by Canadian Geographic about the course and the Olympians who have trained on it:   A Close-Up Shot   [google_map address=’137′ coordinates=’45.417619,-75.71198′ […]

Just read the description bellow to imagine […]

I have been trying to capture a photo of exactly that for months but had not been able to get my timing right. Then last night, when I was least expecting it, this exact scene was taking place in front of the Bytowne.  Thankfully I had my camera in the back of my car and I was able […]

Today, the expression “better late than never” couldn’t be more a propos. After running around from Costco to Costco trying to get my 5 day old winter tires replaced, I have finally found the time to post a photo for you today, a photo I managed to shoot in the parking lot of Costco Nepean. For those of you who have not been following me on twitter, I found myself there because I got a flat tire on my way back from Syracuse Sunday night and after having driven 4 hours on it so I could get back to Canada […]
