Looks like Zellers or at least what’s left of it will only be open for one more day because after tomorrow’s fixture sale, nothing will be left behind. In a way its a sad day for Canada, but in another it’s also time to celebrate as we welcome Target! Another day, another interesting building to show you. Today I bring you the University of Ottawa Power Plant, one of uOttawa’s more interesting buildings, not only for because of its looks but for its central role in keeping a large part of campus running year round.  Hope you enjoy! “The plant provides controls for all environmental and mechanical systems throughout the campus from one central location. 205 – The Converted, Beautiful and Tiny Old Shell Gas Station as seen on Main Street

This awesome little building is probably one of the quirkiest little construction offices I have ever seen. Located at the corner of Hawthorne and Main in Old Ottawa East, everything from the fake pumps, the old Shell sign, to the building’s general design scream old Shell gas station, but for some reason I cannot find a single “online” source that would confirm its past life.
