So I finally went to the Rideau Canal in Winter for the first time since moving here, but I didn’t get the chance to skate on it. I went to try and grab some amazing sunset photos of people on the ice but the sky was just not cooperating last night. So I set up my Tripod as low to the ground as possible and decided I would try to capture some candid shots of people skating. I really wanted to try to capture movements and the various speeds people were skating at. Here are the results, I hope you […]

Anyone lose their car? Found this guy partially buried in the snow bank in front of Art-Is-In Bakery today! Couldn’t help myself, I had to grab a shot. Also for those wondering, Art-Is-In was as good as always. Very different inside, much larger and still just as busy! Happy Saturday everyone, I’m now off to the canal to grab some more photos.   There were actually two cars in the Snow Bank     [google_map address=’202′ coordinates=’45.408619,-75.718374′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]

Can you say blinding? Shot this photo yesterday on my way home from work. This intense sunset caused some pretty major traffic jams along Queen Street. No one could see! Thankfully, traffic cleared up pretty quickly when the sunset was done because I was freezing at the bus stop. When will this cold spell break? I have had about enough. Happy Friday!   [google_map address=’201′ coordinates=’45.420888,-75.699944′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]

I see this person almost everyday. I am really beginning to wonder if he is there 365 days a year. While I won’t get into the subject or talk about why he is there. I have to say I was surprised to see him there today given the cold of the past two days. Another example of life not stopping because of the cold.   [google_map address=’200′ coordinates=’45.420647,-75.700974′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]
