Been complaining about the cold lately? I know I have! Realized how good I had it when I saw this guy walking down Rideau Street last night. Life doesn’t stop for the homeless or those who try to make a buck or two by means most people would never consider. Even at -30°C, this guy was still out collecting and returning bottles to the BeerStore, talk about commitment. Just something to think about today on this extremely cold winter day.       Finally Made it to the Beer Store   [google_map address=’199′ coordinates=’45.427718,-75.688612′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]

Anyways for those who want to know, I did shoot this while driving. I used my remote to trigger the camera which was sitting on the dash, so to reassure you all, I wasn’t breaking the law. If your wondering, this photo […]

While watching the game last night at Don Cherry’s, I realized that I hadn’t posted a mural in a while. I hope you enjoy these cool pieces of wall art from Don Cherry’s Sports Grill. They were done by a S. Samson (at least I think) in 2004 and these are just some of the many pieces that adorn the walls. While the place may seem like a dingy hotel bar from the outside, it has some pretty good service and great deals on food and beer. In reality, I couldn’t ask for more while watching a game. So its […]

If you have been following me on Twitter today, you have probably already heard about my 3:30 minute drive home from Montreal. The winds were insane! Drove through a number of whiteouts and passed at least 12 cars in the ditch on the Quebec side. In an odd twist, the entire 417 was closed and we got rerouted along the old country roads. This made for a surprisingly interesting drive and thankfully an enjoyable safe drive. I had never done the whole drive along that road before and was impressed by a number of communities along the way. You can […]
