225 – Winterman Run as seen at the Canadian War Museum

Ran my first race in over 15 years yesterday when I took part in the Winterman Marathon Relay with three of my coworkers. While it was great to get out there and compete, I wish it had been a lot warmer yesterday. With the cold and especially the wind (-28 degrees with the windchill I hear), it became hard to breath at points. I have no idea how those marathoners do it so fast, but kudos to them, and kudos to the organizers. It was a great race, a great crowd, and a great venue (Canadian War Museum). 224 – Winterlude 2013 Lunar New Year Lion Dance Parade as seen on Somerset Street

Winterlude is coming to an end and this year I managed to catch something a little different! This awesome parade managed to attract a lot of people and everyone seemed to have a great time as these guys paraded down Somerset Street from Preston Street to Bay Street through Chinatown. Enjoy! Now if you are reading this and its 9:30 in the morning, I am currently running the 10.5 km Winterman run near the Canadian War Museum. Wish me luck!
