Happy Canada Day weekend everyone! I have for you today another set of photos from my little excursion on Dow’s Lake. These guys just loved saying hello! 355 – Chateau, Curves and a Sky on Fire as seen from the Rideau Canal

When I took these photos yesterday, I had no intention of posting them to the blog as I have seen many shots on Flickr similar to this one before. My goal with yesterday’s shoot was to see how I would frame the roadway curves differently compared to others. When I saw how the sky turned out on this shot and how my curves were different than anything I had seen before, I immediately changed my mind. I had to post this shot. 353 – Kayaking as seen from a Boat in the Middle of the Rideau Canal

Had a very interesting opportunity over the weekend, thanks to the nice people over at the Dow’s Lake Pavilion, to get on a small boat and take a tour of Dow’s Lake and the Rideau Canal. While my girlfriend and her mother rented Kayaks and explored the lake on their own, I was lucky enough to get a spot on a tiny motor boat and explore some awesome places tucked along the edge of the lake and up the Rideau Canal (more photos to comes soon).
