Had a very interesting opportunity over the weekend, thanks to the nice people over at the Dow’s Lake Pavilion, to get on a small boat and take a tour of Dow’s Lake and the Rideau Canal. While my girlfriend and her mother rented Kayaks and explored the lake on their own, I was lucky enough to get a spot on a tiny motor boat and explore some awesome places tucked along the edge of the lake and up the Rideau Canal (more photos to comes soon). I have to say that seeing things from the middle of the waterway is quite the unique experience. For some reason, everything, especially the Bank Street bridge, seemed huge and imposing when on the water compared to walking next to it. It’s definitely something to experience! Hopefully I’ll be able to find enough time this summer to head back for my own Kayak ride down the Rideau Canal. Who wants to come with me? We could always follow it up with a food and drink in Little Italy? It’s only a few minutes away from the Pavilion, what do you think?

Anyways, before I blabber on too long, I’m cut myself off here and wishing you all a happy humpday!
