Fireworks…. my favorite part of Canada day. It’s that time of the day where you and all your friends and family take a break, relax, look at the sky and make some of the weirdest noises ever! Yep! I mean it, the weirdest sound effects ever. Trust me, it won’t be long before you start cracking up! If don’t believe me, take a second and focus in on the noise people (especially kids) are making during your next fireworks. I promise you, you will be in for a good time!

Tried making my way to Parliament Hill for the big Canada Day celebration, but arrived too late to get a spot on the hill! Instead, I found myself right in front of the main gate on Wellington street. These are my early afternoon highlights taken from exactly that location! Not surprisingly, very few of them involve the show, as we couldn’t see a thing! Almost 20 of these guys jumped out of a cargo plane and performed awesome tricks!   My top highlight for sure! Had to opportunity to enjoy an amazing photo walk today along the Ottawa River! Along our route, I discovered this amazing piece of “art?” Don’t know its origins, anyone out there able to fill me in? I know it probably has to do with the water filtration plant on Lemieux Island island, but I’m guessing there is more to the story than that…. Anyone?
