Last night, as I was scouting out some new locations for runs along the Rideau Canal, I ran into four girls who were trying to get there picture taken while standing on the Rideau Canal Locks. After watching them struggle for a while with their trusty iPhone, I decided to step in and help them out by offering to take their photograph with my camera that I happened to be carrying around with me at the time. Hopefully, they will be pleased with these images when they finally open their work emails on Monday!
I'm back! I know it has been a while since I last posted to this blog. I decided to take a break after finishing my Ottawa Seen 365 Ways in 365 Days Photo Book project to focus on other things, both personal and professional. With spring and summer slowly coming back around, I have started to spend more time with my camera again, even taking time to upgrade my camera body before my next travel adventure to Jordan! After two straight years of apple picking at the Log Cabin Orchard in Osgoode, this year we decided to try something new and extend our reach beyond Ottawa. As such, we found our way just south of Kemptville at Mountain Orchard. I must say, this is probably the largest apple orchard I have ever been to. They were definitely set up to allow for a plethora of activities including classic games such as tether ball, walking a beautiful forest trail, getting lost in a corn maze, as well as enjoying a nice picnic in the shade. I highly recommend!
