Very simple and possibly uninteresting picture for you today! Why am I posting this? Because I will finally be crossing this fence to grab photos of one of Ottawa’s most famous landmarks, the Rideau Hall. I had thought I would hold off and try to grab this in the spring, but it appears the Scott Kelbey Photo Walk group I signed up for will be walking through this area today. Do you know what this mural on Beechwood in New Edinburgh commemorates? I can sure tell you that I didn’t. Apparently, this mural by artist Karole Marois commemorates the last council of the city of Vanier. Who knew? Check this website out for more details on other murals in the area, its pretty neat.   [google_map address=’53’ coordinates=’45.440712,-75.674142′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]

I’m sure the artwork probably looked amazing during at one time.   [google_map address=’19’ coordinates=’45.440712,-75.674559′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]
