I’m bringing you today’s photograph straight from the middle of nowhere New Jersey where I will be hanging out for the next few days for work. I’ll tell you one thing, the view here is nothing like the photo above. Wishing I was sailing that boat in front of the awesome CIV Museum, instead my not lovely view of the New Jersey Turnpike! In brighter news, only 1 more day till Friday!   [google_map address=’74’ coordinates=’45.434403,-75.699771′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]

While out for a walk on the Gatineau side the other day, I came across this boat exposed in front of the Canadian Museum of Civilization.  While I had no clue what its significance was, this boat was immediately recognized by my family as the boat that used to be on the Canadian $1 bill that circulated between 1973 and 1987.  For a history lesson on the Missinaibi tugboat, the Ottawa river, and Canada’s one dollar bill, check out the following article.   [google_map address=’36’ coordinates=’45.428538,-75.707142′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]
