Click on the photo to see it in a larger size! Another famous Ottawa landmark for you today, the National War Memorial at the corner of Elgin and Rideau Street! This shot was taken from the middle of the square. It is quite something to be surrounded by all those lights, something I would highly recommend the next time your downtown in the evening.

321 – Ottawa Race Weekend 5km Run Start as seen on Laurier Street

9,500 people were set to run through this gate to start their Ottawa Race Weekend 5 km run. Seing the start has to be one of the most impressive things I have ever seen! Hopefully, it will be just as impressive tomorrow when I’ll in the this of it tomorrow for my first half marathon and second race ever. So apparently I have a fascination with capturing great artists and their pianos at the NAC. First I shot a photo of Canadian jazz legend Oscar Peterson, and today I bring you one of Glenn Gould, one of the best-known and most celebrated classical pianists of the 20th century. Actually what I am bringing you is a photo of Gould’s favorite piano, the Steinway CD 318, which is located in a permanent display at the mezzanine of the National Arts Centre.
