Made my way down to Almonte over the weekend for another successful Handmade Harvest! Some amazing vendors showed-up including some of my favourite micro-breweries. Unlike the last time I was there, I decided to actually explore the town this time round and quickly realized how awesome it was. 357 – Water Filtration Plant Sculpture as seen on Lemieux Island

Had to opportunity to enjoy an amazing photo walk today along the Ottawa River! Along our route, I discovered this amazing piece of “art?” Don’t know its origins, anyone out there able to fill me in? I know it probably has to do with the water filtration plant on Lemieux Island island, but I’m guessing there is more to the story than that…. Anyone? 346 – Samuel de Champlain Statue as seen in Gatineau

Not the first time this guy has made it on the blog! There is also a Samuel de Champlain Statue at the tip of Nepean Point behind the National Gallery of Canada.
