I’ve always known that I would shoot the Love Locks at one point during this 365 but only recently did I get my chance. While I can’t tell you when it started here on Somerset Street Bridge, I can tell you that it seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year! For those of you who don’t know the story behind these locks, check out this Wikipedia page to get all the details. It’s a pretty neat concept. I’ve now seen them a few times during my travels and I find it amazing how each collection of locks is different. Not one of […]

Another shot (take 1) on the partially (actually nearly fully) collapsed “Somerset House” at the corner of Bank and Somerset. I really wish they could figure out what to do with this building. It’s such a pretty facade, I can only imagine how much life it would bring to the area if an amazing business filled it up. Happy Tuesday!   [google_map address=’296 – Somerset House as seen in Centertown’ coordinates=’45.415304,-75.696246′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]

Don’t normally post photos of animals here on the blog but I couldn’t help myself today. For some reason, every time I end up in Hintonburg (which if you pay attention to me on Twitter is almost twice a week at least) I land on a different great looking dog (another dog shot from earlier this year). So today, a dog is what you get! Happy snowy Saturday everyone.     [google_map address=’286 – Newfoundland Dog as seen in Hintonburg’ coordinates=’45.40651,-75.720327′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]

I’m sure everyone recognizes this building or what is left of it at the corner of Bank and Somerset. Its hard to imagine that its been in a complete state of disrepair since November of 2007 and that no work has been done since then. It’s also too bad that they weren’t even able spare the mural on the building’s back wall. Looked like it was an interesting piece of art. On that note, happy Friday everyone!   [google_map address=’285 – The Fallen Mural as seen on Somerset’ coordinates=’45.415441,-75.695629′ zoom=’15’ height=’300px’]
