Another milestone reached today, day 300. Only 65 more to go in this 365. But don’t worry, this blog will not die at the end of its year. I’m already working on ideas for my next Ottawa project so stay tuned in the coming months for some news. So I always knew a time would come when for an unforeseen reason I would be unable to capture a new and original photo for this challenge. After a short business trip to Toronto on Monday and Tuesday, I just did not have the energy to get out and grab one when I got home at 10:30pm last night. 102 – “Transitway Hands” as seen at Tunney’s Pasture

Another completely random piece of Ottawa art for you today! If you look closely, you will find two hands, one on each side of the Transitway. According to a METRO article from 2007, these two hands are part of a series of 8 hands, by artist Mark Marsters, called “Salut/Salute” which are supposed to represent ways to “greet, amuse and encourage” OC Transpo riders on their way to and from work.
