You know that moment when you think you’re done for? When you think your going to fall into the River with all your camera gear on? Well I had that moment last night. I walked down the bank of the Rideau River to get this shot and somehow lost my footing in a huge pile mud and almost fell right in. Thankfully, I was able to grab a tree branch behind me and prevent complete disaster. Only damage was to my shoes which may now be permanently dyed brown. It’s late, I haven’t slept much this weekend because of an awesome Ottawa wedding and a 6am departure for Montreal to see the F1 Grandprix. I got lucky and managed to get some tickets at the last minute. On top of that, I was able to make my dad’s day by taking him to the race. I have never understood why people thought it was “ok” or even “cool” to build apartment and office buildings that looked like bunkers. Point-in-case, the photo of the above apartment buildings. How could one think these buildings looked attractive and would contribute to a neighbourhood?
